Shooting
will come to a halt on August 26
We had
reported that a one-of-its-kind affair, marking the Golden Jubilee celebration
of the stunt union of South industry, will be held to honour the achievements
and hard work of stuntmen. Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) has now
announced that the shooting of all films will come to a halt on August 26, on
the day when the event happens, expressing their full-fledged support for the
same.
SR Prabhu,
treasurer of TFPC, says, "The decision was taken to ensure that all
technicians and artistes could participate in the event and make it a memorable
one. We thought this would be a unique way to honour the people, who will be
celebrated on the occasion."
Nadigar
Sangam, too, is hopeful that the function will be grand with a huge turnout of
leading stars. Ponvannan, vice president of the Sangam, says, "A day off
from shooting is a good way to make the function a grand one. The stuntmen have
contributed in various ways to all our leading stars. It is heard that all of
them are invited, but we have to wait and watch as to who all are attending
it."
