We’ve got
some dope on Samantha’s wedding look
Preps are on
in full swing for the grand wedding of Samantha Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya. The
son of leading actors Nagarjuna and Amala was engaged to Samantha in January
this year, and the couple has booked the weekend of October 6-9 for a mega
destination wedding in Goa. Designer Kresha Bajaj has been roped in to make the
trousseau for the bride, most of which comprises three main outfits. Other than
a dreamy fairytale gown for the Christian ceremony on October 8, the Hindu
ceremony's ensemble is worthy of a story.
Sam will
wear a special South Indian woven sari that was owned and adorned by the
groom's grandmother, D Rajeswari, the wife of legendary filmmaker D Ramanaidu.
This is Samantha's ode to the Akkineni and Dagubatti families, which she said
that she's most honoured to be wearing it.
Kresha is
adding her own touches to the sari, mostly by equipping the drape with jewels
from her husband Vanraj Zaveri's atelier. Some of these will be arm bands,
waist bands and various necklaces, all in diamonds, gold and kundan. Now,
that's one beautiful and bountiful bride.
